Tui has been working with Reuters at the level of the brand throughout all our developments. Part of this work has involved developing strategies for implementation across diverse websites and other initiatives through the use of templates.

Successful template designs evolve through an understanding of the brand, the content to be presented and a clear vision of the navigational structure. Tui incorporates flexibility into the design and the modular nature of the Reuters templates is a prime example of this approach.

The 'kit of parts' developed for the banners allowed individual divisions a degree of unique representation whilst still maintaining a brand identity.

The use of the duo-tone image at the top of the page offers a great deal of flexibility, whilst maintaining stylistic coherence. Also, the four-tier information structure of consistent primary navigation at the top of the page, contextual secondary navigation on the left, 2-column content in the middle and ancillary global functionality on the right, makes for a clear, known and highly flexible template design.
